Time and politics, a watch is in many ways a good analogy for politics. Time is greedy yes, but it's generally a time to move forwards anyway!!
Several great thinkers through out history have made comments about time, that are memes on the internet today. Generally speaking time moves forward and to the right, except on the opposition which might be moving in a counterclockwise direction. Thus this is a Universal time theory.
Perhaos left wing and Communism are doing something about Sidereal time.

This time is divided in seconds, minutes, and hours, and even days, weeks, months and years using a calendar.
It's a clockwise motion, except daylight savings time (DTS), and other political adjustments.
A good bet is that the right wing, the clockwise motion, soon will come to include references to science fiction, in the system, so that finally time eternal can move outwards, and to the normal right.
